Thanks for reading the blog.  I&#039;ve discontinued it (over a year ago) and strangely I still get more traffic to it than to the other four blogs I keep (combined).

As for tips, the best thing I could tell you is to read www.recordingreview.com articles until your eyes bug out and also check out http://www.soundonsound.com for more info.

I&#039;ve written a little bit already in the above comments but at this time I would recommend anyone in your situation to go spend $200 (less on CL) to get an M-Audio Fast Trak Pro USB device.  Works with a limited edition of Pro-Tools as well as many other recording programs.  I recommend Audacity for beginner/intermediate uses.  http://audacity.sourceforge.net
It&#039;s really very powerful.
